izzy gibson is a graphic designer whose editorial and collage work seeks to explore socio-political topics through a darkly sarcastic and feminist lens. inspired by grunge music and the tongue-in-cheek work of other women graphic designers such as bea fietler and jessica walsh, izzy’s work pushes the boundaries of traditional design principles through the use of unconventional materials, abstract photography, and experimental layouts.
izzy is completing her bachelor of fine arts in graphic design at depaul university in chicago, il. she is an active member of the chicago graphic design club and is currently on the social media team for depaul’s school of design graphic design capstone committee. having a background in theater production, izzy has gained a reputation for creating work revolving around the chicago theater scene with puppets becoming a key influence for her editorial work and capstone project. she has also produced two video games with her educational game kaleidoscope being published on the peggy notebaert nature nuseum’s website. she is interested in working with individuals and groups looking to develop unique brand identities and those looking to publish editorial work.
